Family Trip

This past week we went to St. Louis to spend a few days. We visited the animals at the zoo and fed baby goats at Grants Farm. Even though the temps were close to 100 we still had a good time. Landon enjoyed swimming in the pool at the hotel and hanging out with his shirt off. I don't think I can pick out a favorite animal Landon had at the zoo, but we all enjoyed the penguins since they were inside their 50 degree home. Grants Farm was probably one of the best places I have been in awhile. You get to bottle feed baby goats and let me tell you my son loved this. He was not scared and he was walking around the goats like he owned the place. He let them eat his shirt, shorts, and hair and just pushed them away like it was no big deal. It was a great experience and we will be back.

Landon 15 Months

Weight 20lbs 12oz 5%

Height 28.75 in 3%

Head 18.5 in 50%

Everything went well at Landons appointment. His doctor was very impressed that he could fling a hair tie at him and said he has never had a 15 month old do that!

This coming week we are headed to the lake with some friends and then the week after we head home to Minnesota to help Seths cousin celebrate his marriage. We are very excited for the weeks to come, but sad to think we are that close to July already. Ok, I am not thinking about that month yet....

Garage Sale find...

Landon and I have been going to a lot of garge sales. We have found same pretty good deals. We always seem to find the really sweet things when Seth comes with us. Here is a picture of the coolest thing Landon has gotten from a garage sale. I was so surprised to see Landon get on and know how to ride this thing. He was a pro and was fearless. I am not sure I really like what our future holds with this brave child we have on our hands. We have a few videos of Landon riding his new kawasaki but we are having problems uploading them to blogger. Does anyone else have this problem?

15 Months

We can not believe our little man is 15 months (well 15 months and 1 day, sorry I am late). Landon has such a neat personality. He lets us know what he wants and if he doesn't get the right thing he lets us know (loudly). We go to the doctor next week so we will update on the stats then. Over the weekend we were at the lake and had a great time. The weather was wonderful and we enjoyed the boat, the sand, and not the lake yet. It is still way to cold for everyone expect Seth. I guess my brother got in but only to take a bath so I don't know if that really counts :) Here are some pictures from the weekend.

We are heading to St. Louis the beginning of next week for a little family trip to the zoo and Grants Farm.

Fishing

We spent the weekend down at the lake. Landon liked the boat and has aspirations of being the captain already. He loves the warm weather so he can hang out shirtless and sometimes pantless. Landon got to touch his first fish and really thought it was fun. He didn't neccessarily like how slimy it was, but liked how it flopped around. There is a funny video, but it isn't loading correctly, sorry.

Update on the Rash

So we ended up going to the ER in Jefferson City. They decided Landon should go to the Children's Hospital in Columbia, MO. He and I rode up in the ambulance, but after one night and a little improvement, we got to come home this afternoon. They really never figured out exactly what he had, but say he will be fine and the spots should be all gone in a couple of weeks or so. He was prescribed some high power antihistamine for the itchiness but that is all he takes. He is improving as we speak, so thanks for all the prayers. Here are a few picks of Landon near the worst he looked. His tummy, armpits and knees got a little more dark purple, so that was what looked the worst. He looked aweful and the worst was about three or four hours after these pics were taken, but we did not take pictures while at the Children's Hospital.

Poor Little Munchkin

Poor Landon woke up Saturday morning with some sort of rash or allergic reaction. It didn't seem to bother him at all, and he had a great day.

Come night time on Saturday the spots had spread and combined into blotches on his face. He was still pretty pleasant, but he did not sleep well and seemed to be very itchy.

In the morning the rash was still worse and there were some purple spots in the middle of the dots. We took Landon to the urgent care in Jefferson City and here he is napping on the way home. They gave him a shot of steroids and told us to give him some benadryl. We'll see how it goes, but so far the spots and ridiculous redness remains.
