Gym Bus!
The Gym Bus is soooo cool! They have a school bus that they took all the seats out of and made it into a traveling gymnastic class. The gym bus comes to Landon's preschool on Thursdays and he is so excited to get the "play" on a bus. I love picking him up on Thursdays, he tells me all about the bus and what exciting things he learned!

Back to school....only a little late
This is my classroom this year....well it's the same classroom as always but I changed the theme. I did an ocean theme and then it kind of turned out as a bright colored theme. I didn't want to spend a ton of money, you know how that is :)
Our little guy on the first day of preschool. He was so excited to go back to preschool, he couldn't wait to see Ms. Dana and all his friends.
Now that we have had 5 days under our belt I can say that I am really enjoying my class this year. They are a fun group of kids. Landon is also enjoying preschool; he loves to tell me when he gets a sucker (when he goes #2 in the potty), when Ms. Dana hangs his art work on the wall, and when he gets to bring art work home. He loves to bring his art work home to show daddy, he talks about it the whole way home (it's a good thing we only have a 10 minute drive).

Kansas City!
We decided to take a short trip to Kansas City this week to go to Nebraska Furniture Mart. We had a great spontaneous trip. We stayed at a wonderful hotel and we enjoyed swimming and lots of family time.

What we have been up to...
The four most important men in my life
The two most important women in my life.
My Mom had my Grandma's name (Bonnie Bogus) engraved on the Mothers Wall at a church in Laurie, MO. The shrine was constructed in the mid-1980′s as a way to honor Mary, the
mother of Jesus. In 2003, the shrine was recognized as the 16th National Shrine
in the United States.
The Mother’s Wall is a tribute to all mothers, living or deceased.
We had a great time at the lake with Tama, Papa, Grandpa Ron, and Grandma Bonnie. We had to leave just as Landon was warming up to Grandma and Grandpa. I wished they all lived closer so we could hang out more often, we always have such a great time.
We came home to attend the FOP Pool party. Landon had a wonderful time floating around the pool. We even got him on one of the slides which he said was fun but didn't want to go again.
We have been busy enjoying the last few weeks of summer. We have had a great summer and are sad to see it go but its time to get back to a routine and we love the fall so that is always something we look forward to when summer comes to a end.

Big Boy Room
This post is way over due....Landon has been in his big boy bed for awhile now and has only fallen out twice. If you notice we decided not to stain the dresser. It has a few different types of wood and wouldn't have looked the way I imagined so I decided to let Seth have his way and just put a clear cover over it. It turned out okay and will serve the purpose we wanted so I guess it was a good project.
Stay tuned for pictures of the next project we have started and are almost finished with...Wow I bet Seth is really excited for me to go back to school so I can focus on issues in my classroom and not continue to have him do projects at home :)

Progress...
The dresser is finish being sanded and is waiting a finishing coat. We can't decide what we should do. Seth wants to leave it how it is and put clear on but I want to stain it. We shall see who gets there way :)
The bed is in the process of being sanded. We purchased a new sander and it has proven to be a great item. It was on sale and it was the last one so we got an additional discount! We have already finished to one board standing up and are working on the second. We hope to have Landon's room all ready next week so we can start the transition.
