Crossfit Kids!

Patriot Day

Today we remember all the lives that were lost September 11th.  It's strange that I have a child asking me what I was doing on that day.  I remember growing up and asking my parents where they were when different historical events happen and now Landon is asking me to recall that awful day.  Today we also thank the Police Officers and Fire Fighters who risked their lives that day.  WE LOVE YOU SETH, I know you were not there that day but your daily sacrifice does not go unnoticed.  We love you for providing for our family, we love you for leaving your work at work (most of the time) and we love you for protecting our lives and our hearts.  We are very PROUD of you!
I can't wait to pick Landon up from school today, they are doing a lot of activities around the events of this day and Seth gets to visit his school and talk to them about being a Police Officer.  I know Landon will be so excited to see Seth and share him with his class.  He does not know he is coming.

Today remember those events and all the events that followed and say a pray for the people serving and protecting our Country.

Labor Day Parade!

There were very few people there so we were at a corner almost completely by ourselves.  It was at the end of the parade so people were just handing their candy bags to Landon...and he got another metal tool box and we didn't even have to fit for it this year...a guy just handed it to Brooklyn!
Notice Brooklyn has a sucker in her month and one in each hand :)
Do you think we got enough candy?  I am going to hide it away for Halloween....

First Day of School

Sorry a day late...I didn't make it down to the computer yesterday.  Landon had a great day and was very excited about school.  We went right from school to Crossfit Kids and spent the rest of the night outside.

Brooklyn was helping herself to a baby tomato that was in the fridge...

Last day....

Well the last day of summer has come and gone. We had a great summer with lots of memories made but it is always sad to see if go. We are looking forward to a great school year. Landon is starting pre-K at a "real" school as he calls it on Thursday.
Today we were able to spend the day shopping and walking the bridge. I forgot to bring my phone so I didn't get a picture of us on the bridge but here is a picture of the part you walk up :)

Yesterday Seth ran in a 7.5 mile trail race. We are very proud of him!
Some fun pictures!

Splat!

Yesterday Landon was able to participate in a kids mud run in Columbia. He had a lot of fun and was soooo muddy.  He is already talking about next year :)  His shoes were so muddy we decided to leave them there....
Brooklyn eating a snack waiting for the run to start
The start of the race was through a bounce house maze!
Landon wanted to go through the bounce house again..."the slide was SO fun!"
After the first mud obstacle.  His shoe came off but they were able to find it and get it back on.
Last obstacle-he had to crawl through about 25 feet of runny mud.

Happy 4th of July!

Yesterday we enjoyed the downtown festival, the parade, and of course the Holts Summit fireworks you can see from our driveway!!! Have a fun and safe 4th and THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has fought for our freedom!
(this was the best I could get before the parade...once the candy started flowing there was no hope for a picture)
